Day 8 - Bridal Falls Camperland - Bridal Falls BC

We left Vernon at about 9.30am and headed straight into town to get on the internet at the Library to organise getting from Vancouver to San Francisco. 1.5hours later we were on the road again. We drove through such a variety of country. Everything from the bush fire tortured land at Kelowna to the beautiful countryside of Manning Park. We stopped and had lunch at Hedley by a peaceful river.

These are taken at Hedley where we stopped for lunch...what beaut views from our dining window!

Always time for a quick snap together

Back on the road
We saw deer along the road again and marvelled at the number of 5 wheelers! BC an amazing place. People live in the 5 wheelers and we also see lots of towns with what we call transportables. We drove through sunshine and showers - it was amazing. Now we're settled in at Bridal Falls - not too far from Vancouver. We stopped at Hope - which we could have stayed at - it was so pretty, but we needed to get closer to Vancouver so we get there in time tomorrow.

We had a great chat with a couple at the Hope Pass which has an amazing history of landslip were 4 people were killed in 1965 and then 2 airplane crashes within a 12 month period.

Some info about the Hope Slide

and a photo of the area

Sights around Hope

Then we made it to Bridal Falls - found a beautiful RV park and went and spent an hour in the hot tub here with a couple for Chilliwack - just the place we're going to tomorrow. it was good to chat with locals.
