Day 18 - Hilton at Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada

Well, yet another amazing day! We woke up at about 8.30am and had to force ourselves to get up and get to breakfast. We could easily have slept in, but our tummies called us and we're so glad we responded - what an awesome view - now I feel like I've really seen the views! The falls are amazing and have to be seen (even on video) to be believed.

Views from where we had breakfast!

And the grand exit/entry to the breakfast room!

Truly one of the 7 wonders of the world. We really lingered over breakfast and then we decided to heat out. We went firstly to the Skytron - 52m above the ground and awesome views! We went down stairs (from the observatory) and decided to have lunch in the revolving restaurant. That was yet another experience of a lifetime. It was great and again we just lingered and watched the beautiful views change from minute to minute.

These were taken while we waited for 'Maid of the Mist' - in the nearby gardens

Then we decided to do 'The maid of the mist' boat ride ..... wow! We got soaked but it was a great experience too! We couldn't take too much in the way of video or photo's in the end because it was like being in a bad rain storm. I kept looking though! It took us almost into the base of the falls - obviously you can't REALLY go to the base - but it was close enough.

After that we just walked for a while - to try and dry out! Looked in a few shops and then checked out the trip under (behind) the falls - which we'll do tomorrow. Once back 'home' it was almost time for dinner. We had a quick relax and then headed upstairs - it was so beautiful again in the dining room - they colour the falls at night with lights and it's spectacular. It goes from about 7pm through to midnight and it was a beautiful place to enjoy our dinner.
