Day 2 - Riverside RV Park - near Whistler

Only the video's could begin to describe all we have seen. We made it to Whistler and stayed a bit beyond at a place called "Riverside RV Park". It was beautifully set out and we only wish we had more time. We made a salad, did a bit of planning and headed off to bed at about 10ish. We both slept well until about 1.30am. We woke and read - me until about 3.30! Then back to sleep and didn't wake until 9am. It's been a BIG few days after all! We had a lovely fruit breakfast and then we were on the road again. We drove back to Whistler - what an amazing and incredibly up market place it is. We didn't stay long and then we were on the road again. The roads are amazing - I was sitting in what is our drivers seat back in Aussie, and although I wasn't driving I kept going to grab the steering wheel! I also couldn't get used to looking up and seeing people come toward me and there was no driver! (that was my perspective from an Aussie point of view).

Gra has driven all the time and he's done a great job considering the roads are so narrow.

It's now night time on Sunday 25th. We have driven through the most amazing country today. We've been through everything from spectacular mountains with the bluest lakes I've ever seen to barren valleys. Then out of the blue we see Kamloops - a bustling metropolis in the middle of British Colombia!

We've seen a number of 'squirrels' as they've ducked out in front of us. We've seen Raccoons at Stanley Park. Up to now that's it - other than a few very different and very beautiful birds.

We haven't spoken to many people but those we have spoken to have been very friendly. We absolutely LOVE this area and are going to attempt to get extra couple of days in the motor home if we can.

We arrived at the 'Hitch and Rail family RV park' at about 6pm. It's a bit dark now - but we can see we have a beautiful view over a lake. The owner invited us to join them for dinner but we decided to get an early night (one of those things I wish we had done in retrospect).

Duffey Lake - where we stopped for lunch between Pemberton & Lillooet

Gra 'riding' a log jam at Duffey Lake

Lake Seton just near Lillooet

...same location - Lake Seton - the one on the right is one of my all time favorite scenery photo's from the trip

The 'Salmon run' at Lillooet

The VERY barren road between Cache Creek and Savona

Just outside of Kamloops - me 'n my guy!

Our 'home'....don't you love it!
